Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Musanze

In the morning, you will be picked up from the hotel or airport in Kigali by your driver/guide who will brief you about the safari and then transfer to Musanze. The drive from Kigali to Musanze takes about 3 to 4 hours. So, expect to have a lot of stopovers along the way. You will arrive at the booked lodge/hotel in the late afternoon hours for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Full day hiking Mount Muhabura

Upon having your breakfast, you will be driven to the park headquarters at Kinigi for your briefing before setting off for the hike. Since the hike will take a full day, you will head off with your packed lunch. While at the summit, you will be able to see the Crater Lake which makes the vegetation of the region drier than that of other areas in Volcanoes national park. Later, you will descend back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Transfer to Kigali

Wake up for your early morning breakfast before transferring to Kigali for your lunch and a city tour. During the city tour, you will visit different places like Kigali memorial ground, museum, art and craft shops and many others. Later, you will be driven to the airport for your departure flight.
