Ichumbi lodge

Ichumbi Gorilla Lodge is a new mid-range safari lodge in the Southern sector of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The word Icumbi is derived from the local word Rufumbira dialect meaning a cool comfortable home.

This lodging facility is located within a distance of just 10 minutes walk to the Rushaga gate of Bwindi forest. The lodge offers spectacular views of the park’s forest canopy right from your room.

It’s designed to provide you with high end comfort and relaxation to be able to enjoy your gorilla tracking experience, go birding watching and get to enjoy forest life surrounded by the great land scapes.

The hotel has got both hot and cold towel, hair driers & hair straighteners, the hotel also provides airport pickups.

The standard rooms are double, single or twin rooms depending on the occupancy. These rooms are more accessible from the parking yard as well as the restaurant. There is also the robin chat cottage that is easily accessible from the restaurant and bar with the spectacular views of the forest right from your bed. You will also have a chance to view number of birds that visit the cottage.

There is also the Ibis cottage that has got privacy because it’s private from the other cottages and a perfect hide out from honeymooners and lovers.

This cottage is blessed with great wakeup call from the melodious birds every morning since it’s close to number of flower gardens and trees not forgetting the mind blowing atmosphere and natural fresh air just outside the balcony of the cottage.

Primate Safari Experiences uses this property on clients that have unique Rwenzoris and gorillas or rwenzori trekking and Gorilla Habituation trips for groups , private travelers.
