Gorilla Habituation Safari in Uganda
Gorilla habituation refers to a process where the wild mountain gorillas are slowly introduced to human presence around them and while on gorilla habituation trip, you will visit the gorillas on longer hours than gorilla trekking which also starts earlier than the normal trekking.

Mountain Gorillas are endemic to the East African region which is Uganda, Rwanda and Democratic republic of Congo while Gorilla habituation experience is only available in Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

About Mountain Gorillas in Bwindi
Mountain gorillas have a 98% DNA similarity with that of the human beings and they are famous residents in Bwindi impenetrable national park that lies astride south western Uganda, Bwindi Impenetrable national park is known for hosting half population of the world’s mountain gorillas with 300 robust gentle giants.
The biodiversity of Bwindi forests dense thickets is where the 18 family of mountain gorillas roam ,gorilla habituation is expensive but the rewards are immense but the walking can be tough, its rewarding with 4 hours in company of the mountain gorillas which are trained for a period of two to three years to became used to the sight of people.

when it comes to gorilla habituation , its a learning experience that you learn more about the mountain gorillas way of life while in the jungle , the gorilla family visited on gorilla habituation tour is not the usual gorilla trekking families since these gorillas are still having the wild style, are just being prepared for gorilla trekking.
Gorilla families are are restricted to only 4 gorilla permits which are sold on first come first serve, and the gorilla watching lasts for 4 hours while in the jungle with the mountain gorillas being followed by certified park rangers and porters.
